Look, you and I both know you need Spotify playlist curators to get more ears for your music, right? Got ya, here's a list of curators you can reach right now.

要約する:

Look, you and I both know what Spotify playlist curators can do to your music career.

A single placement can get your track in front of thousands of the right ears, get the Spotify algorithm in your favor, and even industry doors you didn’t know existed.

Because when you build the right relationships, you’re not just pitching songs, you’re building momentum.

Basically,

This list is built with that mindset.

These aren’t random names. These are curators who actually respond, put your tracks on their list, and move the numbers for you.

Sounds interesting? Well, I haven’t shown you all the cards yet.

How This List Was Curated?

This list was handpicked by our internal team at SoundCampaign.

We’ve been keeping tabs on active, high-quality Spotify playlist curators for years.

These curators are the ones who consistently update their playlists, support independent artists, and actually listen.

Now, here’s the catch.

The more artists discover this list, the more crowded these curators' inboxes will get. That means over time, things could get a little saturated.

If you're looking for something more exclusive, we’ve got you covered.

We work with a private network of Spotify playlist curators that aren’t shared publicly.

Here’s a little backstory:

Back in 2018, I started SoundCampaign to help artists like you cut through the noise and get featured on real playlists.

Being a music producer myself, I know it’s hard to build an army of loyal fans.

So I’ve created a simple process where you submit your track, get feedback, and get listed (if approved).

This is the love we got back from the hood:

All you gotta do is go here and click on ‘promote now.’ Then fill the form and wait for feedback.

If your track is really good, you have chances of getting approved by our Spotify playlist curators.

Now that you know how I built this list, let’s get into the actual stuff.

The Master List of Spotify Playlist Curators

#1 - Disco Naiveté

Disco Naiveté started as a music blog out of Belgium, highlighting artists like Haim and Lana Del Rey before they hit the mainstream.

The man behind it, Jarri, also manages artists like Charlotte Adigéry and Tsar B, which means his playlists are more than mood setters.

They’re industry signals.

He also co-hosted SXSW showcases with Crack in the Road. When your music lands here, it’s not random. It’s curated with care and context.

Btw, Jarri has ended his blog Disco Naiveté. But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t update his playlist.

As far as I know, he added some songs 2 days ago to his biggest playlist.

#2 - Crack in the Road

This curator started Crack in the Road as a side project in college and quickly grew into a tastemaker brand.

It has championed acts like The 1975 and Christine and the Queens, long before the world caught on.

It’s also one of the few platforms that calls out the industry when needed, like when it pushed back on festival lineups that excluded women.

Unfortunately, their blog quietened down:

When cracked in the road quietened down

They haven’t been much active with his playlist either. The last song was added to 2023. So, it’s quite tough to make it here.

Still, you can try your luck. There’s no harm in trying!

#3 - All Things GO

What started as a blog is now a full-blown festival and culture brand. For now, they're coming up in DC and NYC. And that's not where they're gonna stop. Apart from Playlist curation, you'll see All Things Go hosting awesome events every year.

If playlist curation going big has a face, I'd say ATG is the one.

Their Spotify playlist echoes the energy of their live shows, with artists like Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Charli XCX all part of the rotation.

This group of curators has sold out events with over 70,000 attendees and created a waitlist culture around their brand.

#4 - Pigeons & Planes

Jacob Moore founded Pigeons & Planes in 2008.

Although he started P&P independently, he later on partnered with Complex Networks in 2011.

Since then, this project has been a part of Complex's portfolio of brands.

Now you must be confused about who you should reach out?

This might help:

What Jacob is doing isn’t just playlisting. That’s nurturing the art. He’s still in the game.

#5 - La Belle Musique

Le Belle Musique is perfect if you make chill electronic, lo-fi, or soulful R&B. This curator built the name on YouTube, and brought that same precision to Spotify.

After all, there’s a reason this curator wrote ‘YouTube’ on his Spotify playlist.

Multiple themed playlists make sure every vibe gets its spotlight.

Hype Machine was born in a college dorm room in 2005. I’d say it’s the brainchild of three friends chasing music obsession over midterms.

This playlist is curated by data, but not in cold, but in an algorithmic way.

Hype Machine scans music blogs and builds a playlist based on what’s genuinely getting buzz.

If you’re being talked about on the right blogs or your music is quite good, you’ll find your way here.

Unlike most playlist curators, they don’t charge a fee to add your music.

The only way they’re able to keep Hype Machine running is crowdfunding.

See, they’ve got more than 2,106 monthly supporters for now. Their next aim is 3,000.

#7 - MrSuicideSheep

MrSuicideSheep is a massive YouTube channel turned into one of the best Spotify playlist curators with a soft spot for emotional, electronic music.

But here’s what really sets it apart. The team behind it runs a label called Seeking Blue and hosts creative retreats for their artists.

This may surprise you, but even EDEN is signed by Seeking Blue. I don’t know if you know him. He got quite popular recently.

As an artist myself, I’d say you must pitch here. Who knows? You might even get some deals in their label too.

#8 - Pop Justice

They have been a long-time advocate for pop music. Even in times when most of the industry didn’t take it seriously.

Their playlist is witty, sharp, and packed with hits and under-the-radar gems. It’s run by someone who’s both a critic and a counselor, giving a unique lens on what artists need.

Just look at Peter’s ‘about’ section on LinkedIn, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

If you’re making unapologetic pop, this one is the place where you belong.

#9 - Gorilla vs Beer

Gorilla vs Beer is known for dreamy indie, lo-fi pop, and a visual brand that’s also popular for Polaroids and SXSW events.

Their playlists are a blend of new discoveries and cult favorites, often with an aesthetic twist.

They’ve been early champions of artists like Beach House and Grimes.

So if your music leans experimental or textured, this is a smart play.

#10 - Going Solo

Going Solo is coming from an Italian curator with global taste, focused on dreamy, genre-fluid indie.

How did I learn this? Just look here:

What’s even more interesting is that they’re accepting new artists.

Overall, they’re known for embracing tracks in any language and giving real estate to new artists.

Their "New Artists Discovery" playlist is exactly what it sounds like. No trend-chasing, just pure curation.

#11 - BIRP!

Focused on indie pop and alt rock, Josh also runs a blog and a vinyl record club, which gives artists more ways to stay in the spotlight.

Apart from this, here’s some gold info I found on their site:

All in all, I’d say BIRP could be easy for you to get playlisted. You just have to sound good. That’s it.

#12 - Ben Goodwin

Ben Goodwin is an independent curator with over 140 playlists across acoustic, nostalgic, and indie genres.

The way I look at it, Ben’s music is focused, consistent, and genre-loyal. Just look at his playlists, they all look so well-composed.

I’d say if your music is stripped-back and emotional, he’ll get it for sure.

#13 - Hip Hop DX UK

This operates with one main playlist, "DX UK Tape," but it hits with precision.

If you’re a UK hip-hop artist looking for editorial-level validation, this is where you want to be.

One placement here can carry serious weight in the underground and media circuits. Just look at their ‘followers’ count on Instagram.

#14 - Connor Franta

Connor Franta blends YouTube stardom with real Spotify curation.

No wonder his "Hidden Gems” playlist got over 30K saves. Here’s something about his label that caught my attention:

#15 - Howard Zhu

Howard Zhu is known for helping indie artists get their songs out into the world and boost their income.

His playlists, such as Pop, Club, and R&B, cater to a large audience of over 100,000 followers.

And don’t take this one for granted. He got over 80K saves on Spotify.

Landing here can get you a lot of ears.

Final Advice!

Let me be honest here. The chances of you getting playlisted by these curators is less than 10 percent.

Here’s the thing:

  • Your track might get rejected because of a bad pitch (learn how to pitch to curators)
  • You might not even get any response from these curators
  • So many artists are submitting their music after coming here so it’s saturated

What better option do you have right now? Let SoundCampaign handle the outreach, get you feedback, and playlisted without trouble.

You make good music. I’ll take care of the promotion.

Sounds good?

Well… Since you actually cared to read all the way down here, here’s a little gift from me. From one musician to another :)
