BPMカウンター

BPM(1分あたりの拍数)は、曲のテンポ、つまり1分間に何拍あるかを測定します。スローバラードはおよそ60〜75BPM、ポップやヒップホップはよく90〜130BPM前後、ダンスやドラムンベースは120〜175BPMかそれ以上になることがあります。

曲を再生し、各ビートに合わせてボタンをタップする(またはスペースバーを押す)。カウンターは直近のタップを平均化し、約8回でロックします。実際のテンポの2倍または半分で読み取ってしまった場合(よくあるタップミス)は、×2または÷2を押してください。DAWレベルの精度が必要なら小数点表示を切り替え、メトロノームを再生して確認し、結果をワンクリックでコピーできます。

プロデューサーは、ツールから直接ディレイと音符の長さを読み取れます。あなたのテンポにおける各音価のミリ秒値が、ディレイやリバーブにすぐ設定できる形で表示されます。

Accuracy depends on how many taps you give it: tapping fewer than 4 times gives an unreliable reading, but after 8-12 steady taps you should land within about ±2 BPM of the real tempo. Human timing always has a little variance, so don't expect a tapped result to be as exact as a decimal like 127.43 BPM. If the beat has a strong off-beat or a half-time feel, that's usually where ×2/÷2 comes in.

Tap tempo is the fastest way to get a tempo when you can hear a song but don't have the audio file: live sets, a track playing in a shop, rehearsal, or a phone held up to a speaker. It works offline once the page has loaded, which is handy on shaky venue Wi-Fi.

If you do have the audio file, an analyzer can read the waveform and detect beats automatically, which is usually more precise on steady, beat-driven tracks. Most DAWs (Ableton, Logic, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase) also have built-in tempo detection for whatever you've already imported, and can map tempo changes across a whole song, something a single tapped BPM can't show. The oldest method, still useful as a sanity check, is counting beats for 15 seconds and multiplying by four. Each method trades speed for precision differently; tap tempo wins on speed when the song is playing right in front of you.
